it's a gray area, if it's just the three of you, that's a tough spot

it feels rude on both ends. Usually i try to chime in with something related like "oh do you all have anything like X there to eat at? we have X where i live and it's great" and then try to expand the convo from there

Feel like this is also partially why corn is unnecessarily shoved into foods that SHOULD NOT HAVE CORN IN THEM

US agriculture mass produces corn but that's pretty much it. There is other stuff that is farmed but that's the biggie

Companies pay farmers subsides to not grow anything else most times or just buy their land outright

On avg most of the food you eat, things you buy.. from other countries

Another reason WFH is great

When you're watching after family in the hospital, you can work remotely an not be dinged for it on PTO

Lotta down time in the hospital, lotta waiting, it's nice to have a distraction
