Laying on the finger slip telling myself the water's only 4 feet deep and so it's honestly nothing and had you fell in you definitely wouldn't have hit your head on anything and it wouldn't have been a big deal and surely someone would have found you by midnight.

Princess Caspian insisted I not go to the dock at 11PM with 40mph winds and rain. I insisted she was being silly and left to check things. I promptly fucking ate it on a line that whipped in the wind. She was asleep when I got back, so it'd really just be rude to wake her to tell her she was right.

Thinking of him and the whole fam. I've been there a number of times with both parents and it's never easy. I smoked in my teens/20s and always refused anyone who'd never smoked asking for one (almost always while drinking). It's terrible and I'd never want that for them on me. Pops knows what's up.

I saw on FB that it's still there and dude has been *staying* on it! What's wild is that it cannot possibly be that expensive to pay SeaTow to pull it off the beach!? Especially since it's almost certain to get destroyed tonight.

The good news here continues to be the wind's out of the N, so bay flooding has been ~zero. We can get street flooding during high tide on *sunny* days if the wind's from the S, so fingers crossed. We did go to the beach and it's hard to stand or even look N. Surf into the dunes at high tide tho.
