Unfortunately, I can easily hear traffic (especially sirens) even in the center of Prospect Park. Elevation changes mitigate this, but only somewhat.

I just appreciate quiet spaces and was curious. The ceaselessness of traffic noise has been getting me down here.

Even if you have an account, it's really confusing. You might think that each of these $2.90 charges corresponds to a subway ride towards the cap. You would be wrong! Two of them are AirTrain charges (from the same ride but processed on different days, and weirdly bundled with other trips.)

Israeli troops say they targeted a Hamas camera in an August strike, but a Reuters investigation found the device belonged to one of the news agency’s journalists. An Israeli official now says troops fired without required approval. The five journalists who died in the strike are among 200 killed by Israel that it has yet to fully explain.
