It’s never because the GOP is superior, it’s always because Dems don’t vote, don’t unify, run uninspiring candidates and sabotage themselves.

There’s no other explanation.

It’s just mindblowing that it’s always such a struggle for Dems everywhere, while the fanatically loyal unity on the Right comes so easily for them.

Trump can do literally anything and cruise to victory, whereas we turned on Franken like rabid wild dogs for doing next to nothing.

Dems refuse to vote unless everything’s in absolute perfect alignment with their specific, narrow interpretation of the platform.

GOP will crawl miles through shit and broken glass to vote for even the most horrific, terrible candidate.

This is why we lose so often in places where we shouldn’t.

I’ve watched too many people fly off into outright zealotry, and even if I completely agree with the belief, isn’t that what we’re fighting?

Give them some credit, and they might not be as neurotically malleable as you may think.

Risk, exposure, danger, discomfort…these don’t have to be frightening things, if they have a good set of tools.

If the Democratic Party came out united and firm for true Universal Healthcare, Basic Income and/or minimum wage tied to the local Cost Of Living Index, they’d never lose another election.

People LIKE the platform and the rhetoric, just doubt that Dems can deliver on the promises.

Conservatives praise the virtues of the “Trad Wife”, and (rightly) point out that being a stay at home wife/mom is very difficult, worthwhile work, and should be seen as valuable.

Then consistently vote against paying welfare, citing laziness and lack of contribution.

The GOP owns both Houses of Congress, all the Executive justice systems, every news outlet is carefully toeing the party line and all the judges are fearful of their very lives.

If they released the Epstein Files and Trump was on every page of it, nothing would happen.

I don’t think America believes in, or even knows, the path of FDR and the New Deal legacy.

Anything “big government”, cooperative or pro-worker has been castigated as evil “socialism” for so long.

Cowardly, hesitant incrementalism is in vogue.
