Windows 10 support ends tomorrow.

They designed it to be EVERGREEN. The UI is still modern. It works flawlessly. Users love it.
Microsoft is killing their most successful OS for literally no reason except to push Windows 11.

This is customer-hostile nonsense.

we need to abolish this shit

This project runs smooth in development using SolidStart, no issues there at all. It's just the LSP interactions.
oetzi.bsky.social
Every time I open up the warehouse project in VSCode Typescript is sooooo slow. I don't know why. Every LSP interaction is taking several seconds. I'm at something like 60k+ lines of TS and everyday I will add more...

I am not sure how to fix that, but whatever...

I think this might help a bit for the understanding, but I'm not fully sure.

Support can come in many ways.

My observation:

Sorry, a long thread incoming... (didnt realize i have a lot to talk about)

TLDR: There is a lot more going on. Observing these people is showing me they tend to dismiss a lot.

I just hope that he stops the support towards Omarchy and/or DHH.

Good post! The founder wrote something about that on Twitter (I also had some thoughts about that)

I have seen this just an hour ago. I think this is pretty clear where he stands on. I also think that he is distancing himself from the people like DHH (disgusting person) and others.
I assume he is trying to focus on the tech, rather than the people - but keeps himself away from _those_ people.
Nirav Patel (Founder of FrameworkPuter)'s tweet: To avoid disappointing anyone later who wants to ascribe beliefs to me, I am pro-immigrant and pro-LGBTQ. I’m also pro open source and have committed myself to guiding people out of closed ecosystems into open ones. This is not posted under duress, but under a realization that at a certain scale of visibility, it becomes insufficient to hold beliefs without stating them, because others will attempt to state them for you.

Question: How do I see what labels I have here on bluesky?
oetzi.bsky.social
nice I followed a bunch of them on youtube now. I dont mind hardware, now I can learn new things!
oetzi.bsky.social
Do you have some creators that you believe are there for the tech+community? I'd like to know new creators, where I can learn more/new things.

Some of the creators I know are online friends (they are actually kind) and are from the bubble I was in (twitch + twitter)
oetzi.bsky.social
There are for sure some creators that I do not label as influencers because they actually make content that aligns with the community. And they make sure that no one gets harmed, including the creator.

The current trend is what makes me ick. And I would do anything to avoid it being more present.
oetzi.bsky.social
The reason I didn't want to give specific names is because it can cause the whole thing to become drama, that I am trying to avoid. That's the whole reason why I use bluesky more than twitter. These influencer jump in on topics and cause havoc...

Even though he platforms a few people who have no open political views, but tend left leaning (I don't want to talk for them).

The development of the community is strange. there are good people and friends I know, that do not want to push that right-wing narrative. I'm glad they don't.
oetzi.bsky.social
You basically went the same path as me. I just didn't realize it soon enough.

For me it is already enough to platform people multiple times that are controversial.
His political views are not open, so I can't talk about it. I have the strange feeling its right leaning.

Their platform and behavior speak for themselves.

I just wish that this creeping right-wing push ends as a phase and doesn't affect more people. We all know what issues they cause.

I hope for a better future. Much love :)

Overall I am happy to see that people are fighting back and don't let those maniacs/lunatics roam in the internet and real-life as they wish. I wonder when they will backtrack and "apologize" because some people are afraid to actually be open about their right-wing tendencies.
oetzi.bsky.social
Whenever I read a blogpost, I (now) always have to critically think about it, due to the way some blog posts were written. It's harder to differentiate their narrative as they are advancing in their communication skills.
Luckily other (good) authors are debunking a lot of points in the blogs.
oetzi.bsky.social
It's mostly mental gymnastics to find a short term solution, so that the problem does not appear to be present. Even though it is. For long-term solutions they mostly would like to have a system to back their own interest, or narrative.
oetzi.bsky.social
They like to argue "locality" is more important that "globality" just to (like stated earlier) dismiss talking points against them. I don't dislike the "locality of issue", but the talks are blocking the arguments of the implications of their badly chosen solutions.
oetzi.bsky.social
Another point is that the overall political communications allowed the right-wing tech-people to just straight up lie. They have a joy in reading false information and twisting words in order to bring their own worldview and narrative.
oetzi.bsky.social
I wonder if the investors do talk about this issue overall, or if they use to go with the terms as long as the "money is right". I have no clue how that observation is, since I haven't looked into that - nor do I wish to (I dislike capitalism)
oetzi.bsky.social
There are few points/tactics these tech-people have not used yet, such as: invite-only conferences (for their own), free-of-use for certain companies with the same believe, financial security within the same playbook (even though some companies are slowly advancing that right now), etc.
