#07 - #TheVoid (2016)

I love lower budget #horror. I think a lot of creativity thrives within limitations. This was a creative and engaging cosmic cult horror movie. Human delusions of grandeur mixed with unknowable cosmic evil creep me out.

#06 - #TalkToMe (2022). I wanted to see this in theaters but instead I missed it in theaters and on streaming for three years. My friend was talking about Bring Her Back so I moved this up my list. It's a very effective, unnerving 90 minute movie.

#04-05 - #NightmareOnElmStreet (2010/1984). The remake was the only Freddy movie I hadn't seen yet. It was... not for me. Then I went to see the original 1984 Elm Street in the theater. That was a lot of fun. I love the original.

#03 - #Possession (1981). This is a film that is constantly suggested to me. Whoa, this is a performers film. Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill are what made the movie entrancing and unsettling. What the hell did I watch?

#02 - #BuffytheVampireSlayer. I haven't watched this movie half has many times as I have watched the TV series. I enjoy this for being a proto-Buffy. You can see the ideas that became the show. The movie still has its own personality.

I really enjoy the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and their twisted dream logic. I haven't gotten into the Friday the 13th movies. This movie felt like a product of 2003 in all the wrong ways. Was it meant to be silly? I did find myself enjoying the silliness.

I first discovered #FlorenceWelch in 2009, shortly after Lungs was released. I caught a live performance of Rabbit Heart (Raise it Up) and immediately became entranced. Now, 16 years later, she's grown so much as an artist and a person. I still find her music as engaging as I did in 2009.

#Bowie was always adept at bringing together talented artists. His albums are not just testaments to his artistry, but the artistry of many other musicians and producers.

This album was considered by many to be "unapproachable." Yet 30 years later, it's still one of Bowie's most interesting albums.

Today is my unofficial start to the #Halloween season. I love to celebrate by watching #ElviraMistressoftheDark, #ElvirasHauntedHills, and classic episodes of #MovieMacabre. Elvira has been a big part of my life for a long time. She helped me embrace the spookier side of things when I was younger.
