Beginning of my thread of films and plays I see in 2025. First up "We live in Time". Terrible name with a pretty competent first two thirds, but loses its way by the end and completely sanitises dying of cancer. Probably not worth seeing

Really interesting article. Lends weight to my feelings that last season we were actually not that bad until the final run, and were largely better than we currently are. We'll never know if JHT would've been able to turn it around this season, but it's currently not looking better #ncfc

"Khartoum" @ London Film Festival. The film changed halfway through filming following the outbreak of Civil War, and it showed in the split personality of the film. Footage of pre-war Khartoum was fascinating, but after that it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be.

I get why what Robert Jenrick says is worth discussing, but why do so many people here feel the need to comment on everything Matthew Goodwin says and does? He's a nobody! He was a bad academic and now he's a nothing. Let him sink into obscurity

Yeah I always hate the "look at this terrible opinion I found" posts. Worst when they've anonymised it because it's like, if it's not a noteworthy person where it might be important that people know they have terrible opinions, what's even the point?

Yeah. Ben Knapper talks a good game, but you have to wonder how much he genuinely believed in the strategy last season. And now it's hard to know what the strategy is. Having players "make choices" isn't a playing style
