World Naked Bike Ride organizers and other local groups are getting on bikes in the buff to protest the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in South Portland. The demonstration is planned for Sunday Oct 12 at 2:30 pm; now we know the starting spot is Oregon Convention Center Plaza.

Now it's just waiting, and me digging up her medical directives and being fairly business-like about the event, which may or not be healthy from a mental standpoint.

I don't know how--or even if--that will affect my endless screeds studying the decline of our poor country.

She's had several seizures, is intubated but stable. No obvious physical injuries from the fall, but they're waiting on a possible pelvic scan (beg the Dogs of God that she didn't fracture a hip).

I'm okay.

Mom is in ICU (I almost wrote ICE so it could be worse) and it's unclear what the cause of the fall was.

Having said that, I've been down this road a couple other times with her and it seems to reflect a similar pattern which is vigilance over days, not hours.
