Our own cats are something of the scratch and dent variety, that would be deemed too much for limited shelter funds. We’ve taken in cats with conditions and rehabbed feral kittens to be house cats, and when they’ve been a case too difficult, we’ve given them a safe, warm, loving home with us.

I have reached out to local animal programs and they are stretched thin. There are so many cats that go into local shelters and never come back out. We are trying to do our part to ensure this doesn’t happen and to relieve some of the pressure of county facilities, even in a minute way.

We are attempting to help with spaying cats from a colony, tending to medical care as issues arise with them, and still manage our own cats’ wellbeing. Whenever you make a purchase from my shop or donation to my Ko-Fi, you’re helping my family help these cats.

I don’t tend to talk a lot about the strain we’ve been dealing with, but because of the recent generosity, I felt compelled to make a statement. We are a single income household with a toddler and caring for cats is a passion of ours which has been tested since moving to a new home three years ago.

I want to thank the Good Omens community for their generosity, and especially @gleafer.bsky.social for increasing visibility to my page. I was able to get the mom cat spayed and have been working on the medical debt for two other cats’ emergency visits.
