He has not realized it sooner. He has met a vibrant Luke this morning. They have talked. They have met again this evening. Luke has seemed hollow within. He remembers similar incidents. He sucks the #verve of people around him. Irony is that he himself is always depressed.

I really like how you flip the meaning of roots in the first two stanzas with “earth to grasp the roots.” and “signs of change might root.”… and in the last stanza, you “knit”… Beautiful transitions
