The final member is our Secretary Nidanu, who joins us from AMES. Nidanu is a 1st year DPhil in Syriac, with research concentrating on eco-criticism in Syriac texts. She's most excited to provide new opportunities for students to showcase their work this year!

Our new Treasurer Michael is a 2nd year LABS MPhil Student, researching Middle Byzantine court politics and ceremony. He is most excited to help plan our annual research trip, which we're all so excited for!

Starting with our new President, Madeleine Duperouzel, a 2nd year DPhil student in History. Her research interests include women in the Late Antique countryside, papyri, visual & material culture, and she thinks everyone needs to go see the mosaics at Piazza Armerina.
OUBS Member Dr. Chloé Agar has recently been involved in 2 great digital humanities projects: creating an archive of Egyptian graffiti and contributing to the Cult of Saints in Late Antiquity database. Have a gander below!
