Around 131 acres, but they own over 500 in total around the park.
Some newer waterparks are ~20-50 acres, including parking, and they’re being built more regularly and cheaper than new theme parks in the US, and better to break even with. So that’s a very possible future, especially if local government is trying to get involved and push for a specific land use.
The entire parcel is 523 acres (SFA used 131). That would certainly need to be split up for mixed use, and some is protected green space.

While another theme park may be unlikely, a family entertainment center or stand-alone water park could be a part of larger development one day.
Probably housing? In the past decade, the housing developments have expanded in the region.

The Six Flags of today was built through mergers and acquisitions; there are few other players in the amusement industry looking to invest the kind of money to turn around a property like this.
I would argue they pivoted more towards family stuff in the past decade and a half, to mixed success. Thomas Town, waterpark additions, Ragin' Cajun and the flying scooters, water coaster, and the Starflyer all tried to attract families.
I did get a great ride on Roar and Pirate's Flight, without waiting too long! And some nice footage of the park/entertainment that I hope to put into a video later today.
I have mixed feelings on it. Running Wild One with one train was surely a choice, and there were lots of Flash Pass/Media people getting last rides in yesterday. Superman broke down after I spent more than an hour in line, and I gave up after 30+ minutes of waiting around for them to evac the train.
Caught this on my way out of Six Flags America last night. RIP 1974-2025
Fantasy Island in NJ also has one of these!
Always hard saying goodbye to a park. Until we meet again, see you Six Flags America.
The store was torn apart but I did get a koozie.
Finally gave up and headed to the car.
Or, hear me out, Coke Freestyle but for Soup. I SAID HEAR ME OUT!
it's so crazy we don't have a coke freestyle type of machine but for chip flavors. in some ways we're still basically living in the stone age

Wow private equity strikes again I guess 😡
In line for Superman, what is surely the last ride of the night for me as this line looks long. But the sunset is pretty.
I waited two hours for Wild One on one train ops. Flash Pass is busy plus a lot of media people coming up the exit.
Full queues for Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. Joker’s Jinx is half way full.
Lines are unreal at SFA today.
