Honestly, because it’s both open source and free; additionally it’s not ultra overwhelming to use. I have experience developing with both Unity and Unreal, they’re both very approachable— Unreal is great for non-coders, Unity is very flexible

They all have their own strengths and weaknesses

I feel like I need to clarify my statement on the story— it’s not bad by any means, just very typical of its genre; I find the game’s true draw in that department is its characters personalities rather than the narrative overall

also the English voice acting’s direction and performances are AMAZING
