My big pick up from LA.

A 1970s spy film scored by a Kansas City bebopper who’s been hanging around Cairo.

Recorded on the same day as Thelonious Monk’s funeral. Free jazz that dances and stumbles.

An adjacent and artless joy, taken from the outer districts of sincerity.

Their “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” is truly that.

A Self-Penned Privy Council Folk-Rock Concept Thing. Simon strumming his 12-string in full Chancellor regalia. Double tracked crooning about Habeas Corpus and Cromwellian backstabbing.

500 copies pressed in 1980 and released in Australia by blind musician Ross McGregor. An Arp Odyssey down-tempo overload.
