Two fellas who SHOULD be seated in Business Class with the San'yaku--but as Maegashira men are relegated to Economy. It's going to be a loooong 14-hour trip for these big men.

Seating is as follows: First Class for Yokozuna and Ozeki; Business Class for San'yaku; and Economy Class for the other wrestlers.

Now boarding for London--Group B--that consists of 60 additional rikishi, gyoji, shimpan, and JSA officials.
As for the language difference, Yokozuna Hoshoryu says, "I can speak a little English, as I studied it while I learned Japanese.

"I can't speak clearly, but feel I can manage a little,"...

The first group of rikishi has landed in London--and they look pretty good for the time and wear.
The yokozuna is safe and sound, Kirishima is as good-natured as ever, and Aoinishiki is still shy.

They should all be safe asleep in their beds by now.

Agree 💯. No champion had revealed so much of himself as Tokushoryu--which endeared him to sumo fans not just in Japan but throughout the world.

We should see more photos of the second group of rikishi--headed by Yokozuna Hoshoryu--departing for London on the 12th.
And, in answer to my query as to WHO is allowed First Class passage: JSA Directors and the yokozuna(s). The ozeki(s) are included, but sole ozeki Kotozakura is staying home.

I believe NHK WORLD-JAPAN will broadcast highlights from the London sumo tournament with English commentary. The final two days of the tournament should be online via the NHK WORLD-JAPAN Facebook page. And check out NHK ON DEMAND for highlights and their coverage.

A yusho champ has his life-size portrait hung from the rafters of the Kokugikan for a period of 2 years. 32 portraits of the last 32 basho winners are displayed w the two oldest removed and replaced with the two most recent yusho winners.
The portrait is then given to the wrestler it depicts.
