The most viewed players page on @baseball_ref were:

1. Rickey Henderson on the day he died

2. Juan Soto on the day he signed a $765 million deal

3. Ryan McMahon on the day he was traded from the Rockies to the Yankees
Heard BeauJo’s was going to rebrand to BoJo’s if the Jays had won.

Guess we’ll have to wait until Bichette since with the Rockies.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have now won back-to-back World Series and three over six seasons.

Which NL West fan base is taking it harder:

Rockies fans after suffering through 119 losses? Or Dbacks fans who have to deal with Arizona-born locals celebrating the Dodgers win?
The four sweetest words in all of sports:

Game Seven, Benches Clear
Monstrous 442-foot three-run home run for Bo Bichette off Shohei Ohtani.

Blue Jays take a commanding 3-0 lead at home in Toronto.

Don’t need to run when you hit it that far.
Game 7 is being defined by slowness.

First by Shohei Ohtani and the time he's taking to get to the mound after htting. Next by Bo Bichette and his injured knee.

As such, we've got a 0-0 game with a lot of intrigue.
#Rockies have outrighted LHP Lucas Gilbreath and INF Aaron Schunk from the 40-man roster.

Both players have elected free agency, according @mlbtraderumors

Gilbreath, a Colorado native, has been with the organization since 2017 while Schunk was a 2nd round pick in 2019.
RHP Dugan Darnell has been claimed off waivers by the Pirates.

Darnell, 28, had a 3.86 ERA with the #Rockies after a rather impressive 3.19 ERA in the hitter-friendly PCL.

Pittsburgh has placed on the 60-day IL following an offseason hip surgery that could delay his 2026 start.

Pro baseball in Colorado Springs is no more after 38-straight years.

The Rocky Mountain Vibes are in need of a new home, according to @KRDO_13

The former Sky Sox are the latest in-state club from the Pioneer League to depart following Grand Junction and Windsor (NoCo Owlz).
Have you ever seen Shohei Ohtani show this much emotion?

He’s 4-for-4 during with two dingers and two doubles. First player in the World Series with 4 XBH in a game.

Ohtani is also 7-for-7 with five homers in his last two games at Dodger Stadium. He’s not from this planet.
The Denver Broncos are 6-2.

The Colorado Rockies had only one stretch of going 6-2 throughout their 162 game schedule this season.

Rockies longest win-streak was four games. Broncos have now won five in a row.
It may be quite in Denver - for the Rockies, not the Broncos - but there's plenty of baseball to discuss...

On this date in 2007, Matt Holliday went 4-for-4 for Colorado in Game 2 of the World Series.

Holliday became only the 11th visiting player with 4+ hits at Fenway Park during a playoff game.

Last player do it: former Rockie Larry Walker in the 2004 World Series with St. Louis.
Once Roki Sasaki appears for the Los Angeles Dodgers, we'll have three Japanese-born players in the same World Series (also: Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto).

The last and only other time was 2007: Boston's Daisuke Matsuzaka and Hideki Okajima and Colorado's Kaz Matsui.
I did not have “Trasatlanticism” by Death Cab For Cutie as part of the hype video on my bingo card for Game 2.
Bo Bichette hits fourth and is playing second base for Toronto in Game 1 of the World Series.

Bichette hasn’t played since Sept. 6 due to a knee injury and was held off the postseason the last two rounds.

His father, Dante, made the playoffs only once: 1995 NLDS with Colorado.
About 92% of America is rooting for Canada in the 2025 World Series.

Sounds about right.

Will you be pulling for the Toronto Blue Jays or Los Angeles Dodgers?
Hunter Goodman is a finalist for the National League Silver Slugger Award at catcher.

Goodman set the #Rockies franchise record in hits (150), doubles (28), home runs (31), extra-base hits (64), and RBI (91) for a catcher.
Much more unique in baseball since there’s only one team in Canada.

Let’s not forget: it’s called the World Series and now it’s kind of apt for the first time in over three decades.
The 2025 Toronto Blue Jays do what the 2015-16 team helmed by Troy Tulowitzki couldn’t.

Win the ALCS and reach the World Series.

A decade later, the final three outs come courtesy of Jeff Hoffman, the top prospect included in the trade that brought Tulo over from the Rockies.
The 2025 World Series is set.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays.

USA vs. Canada.
Congrats to the Toronto Blue Jays for getting back to the World Series for the first time in 32 years.

Poor Mariners fans. Eight outs from going to their very first World Series.
