Following up on this story, Kashiwa City in Chiba Prefecture has now suspended display of manga artist Hisashi Eguchi’s 70th anniversary illustration following the tracing scandal. The 1 million yen (~$6,600) work had appeared on a city magazine cover and in local exhibitions.
