“Aposematic Form II”
Acrylic and paper on canvas
10 x 10”
3/5/24
A three-dimensional abstract painting made with acrylic and paper on canvas. A large hot pink form bends up and across the composition in an arc from the bottom left to the top right. The form has multiple facets outlined in a sunny yellow. Repeated white lines run across the surface of each facet. Tucked between the bottom right and top right side of the yellow form is an emerald green form. It extends out and down like a peninsula. Each facet is outlined in a soft mint green. Long oval white marks dot each facet. Weaving in and out of the middle of the green form is a rich blue form that spiders out in places. It extends underneath the yellow form and pokes out on the middle left. It also creeps out in the top left and top right of the yellow form. Its facets are outlined in a vibrant blue and dotted with white circles.

“Vessel”
Watercolor on paper
4.5 x 7.5”
7/22/25
An abstract painting made with watercolor on paper. A biomorphic form with multiple appendages floats on a white background with radiating green polka dots. The center of the biomorphic form is a vibrant blue oval with white lines pointing up and to the left of the composition. It has a green oval core to it with a transparent copy of itself to its right. The blue oval has three rows of oar-like shapes jutting out of its sides on both the left and the right. They are covered in white polka dots. The green reflection of the core connects to an inverted red arc which supports an orange potato-shaped blob with gridded red lines and white polka dots. Connected to the bottom left of the blue oval is a smaller violet oval with a reddish violet inner core. The outer rim is dotted in white spots. The bottom right of the blue oval dangles a yellow rounded rectangle running perpendicular to the blue oval. It is outlined in orange and arced white lines run inside it. Three orange appendages jut out from its bottom with light green circles inside. A small purple triangle balances a floating inverted red arc at the bottom of the composition.

Bold red gestural strokes accent the top of the blue flourish and the bottom left and right sides of the green form. A vibrant yellow, sun-like shape sits on top of the intersection of the blue flourish and the green form. A beige rounded rectangle hides behind the top left side of the green form. Hints of red bleed through the beige.

“Improvisation”
Watercolor on paper
8.5 x 11.5”
8/6/25
An abstract painting in watercolor on paper. A light blue pear-shaped form sits at the center of the composition. Red lines mark the bottom and the top of the form. Superimposed over the blue form is a gestural purple flourish. It swoops upward, down, then up again, and finally dashes off to the right. Flanking the blue form are two yellow forms with three finger-like appendages on the top and the bottom of them. Pointed oval forms in magenta hide behind the yellow forms. Long strands of vivid green shoot out from the top and bottom of the yellow forms. Black forms with white highlights accent the overall composition. Three vertical ones connect to the top of the left yellow form. An irregular rectangle sits near the bottom of the same yellow form. An arched bridge sits at the top of the blue form. An arc floats below and to the left. A spiral juts between the blue and rightmost yellow forms pointing down and to the right. An open circle with a dash emerges from the top right of the yellow form pointing down on the right.

“Prairie Sunrise”
Watercolor on paper
8.5 x 11.5”
7/22/25
An abstract landscape made with watercolor on paper. A field of sunny yellow stretches across a dark indigo background. Superimposed over the yellow field, expressive strokes of hot pink splash in an upward arc. A trail of green, earthy yellow, and magenta sit beneath the yellow field with a thin sliver of the indigo background between the two. The earthy yellow splinters off at the bottom right, forming the semblance of roots. A bold red circle highlights this growth. Over the indigo expanse between the yellow field and the green trail on the left side sits a series of intersecting dark blue lines. A brighter blue fills out the bottom of the background beneath the green trail.
