I ponder how many conservatives can be convinced to step away from MAGA. Not by lionizing Reagan. Not by creating a "centrist" conservative DNC. But just by amplifying how out of touch MAGA is from their ideals (not that their "conservative" channels will tell them this).

MAGA will be MAGA though.
Back in the day I worked in one of those big Fed agencies. It was more balkanized and schizophrenic than many of the public thinks it is. One of the things about that environment was that funding was power. Having budget meant having freedom.

I suspect most of the Fed works that way.
Why is there so much crime in Florida?
Once again the geographically challenged Trump is confused. We are not Ukraine.
"John dharling... I know whaht you dhoo..."
We the people are taxed because we have seen the truth.
Many social media platforms remove double spaces even where arbitrary character counts don't force the issue.
Can't recommend this enough. Folks keep invoking the phrase "voted against their own interests" - perplexed how this could happen. They're not voting against their own interests... or so they thought.

She has also done videos talking about the expectation of bailouts.
Larger groups mean a better chance to attract replacements, keep ahead of the churn, and offer players a chance to play. Without constantly having to learn new rules.

Does this exist today? Or has the hobby community shifted enough to naturally out-pace the churn?
I'm curious about the current TTRPG business landscape. The OGL was created to create network effect and counter death by balkanization. To overcome a hobby population separated in to smaller groups around different game systems. When people stop playing there's a spiral unless new players start.
We often see fandoms wanting their thing considered the best thing. Whether to share joy or as personal affirmation is another topic. Before we dive down that rabbit hole - I'm interested in another reason; economics.

Popularity means money means more of the thing a fan likes.
I guess to be fair - this is still at a time when a lot of "serious" people still equated science fiction with Buck Rogers or Lost in Space.
Wait. The Duelists was... fun? This guys' kind of fun? The fun he's complaining is missing in Alien?
IMHO Job #1 is getting the normies to realize that politics isn't a dirty sport. That politics is life. Be involved. And hold those who try to play dishonest games accountable.
My wish - it doesn't complete. Construction is halted, deemed illegal and existing structure unsafe. It gets demolished. And something else it raised in its place that is more in line with the dignity of the Office.
I'll bite. He's not spending his own money. And he wants to put his thumbprint on one of the most central physical representations of the Office in the public's mind. Long after he's gone will there be the Trump Ballroom - that dwarfs the White House itself.

Assuming it ever completes.
Aside: she said half of them were deplorable. The other half were being lied to. She thought the half being suckered could be reached and brought back to reality.

But all we heard were the Deplorables tripping over each other to show how deplorable they could be. And acting offended about it.
You live in a society. You don't bankroll a hospital. If that hospital isn't being paid for by the society you are part of - you don't get a hospital. You don't bankroll roads. You don't bankroll fire departments, police.

Your lifestyle is dependent on govt. and society working.

Mine too.
And all it took was crashing our economy! 4D chess move, right there. Conservative stewardship in action.
Its a big space these days. Bigger than it used to be. Lots of lanes. Lots of folks doing specialty stuff who are hell-uv-a-tough at it. Don't have to be in all lanes but getting a chance to work with them would be drinking from a firehose.

But then... who doesn't like drinking from a firehose?

Opsec is hard.
For those of you who are wondering, the most important opsec lesson to take from the First Wap story is that if your threat model includes a government, do not take your cell phone with you to locations or meetings you don't want them to know about.
Absolutely "I'm not trying to be cute" type cute.
....and then they get all mad if you try to also talk to the person on the phone. Like you're being rude. Like there's something wrong with sharing a little conversation in our space.
