Hah that’s true! I just assumed all the tropes about keeping demo demons in the summoning circle, or using a circle of salt to keep ghosts out but this was a complicated one where the circle isn’t just drawn on the floor. So yea you are right it could be fleshed out more

Damn this is one of my favourite movies of the year. So disturbing and sad though 😢 deals with themes of abuse and death (the death part usually being necessary for good horror… but I digress!)
