Studying a chibi style book tonight and trying a quick draft, it already feels very adorable.

It was relaxing and soothing to think in this way, to not worry about details or making perfect shapes. It was also quick to get to a clean color stage.

Maybe I can study this kind of style more?

When I talk about raw topics, I feel like everyone deserves the air to process it with people, not just people you pay to “deal with your shit” as if you are a burden.

Practice good boundaries, but yeah, making people bottle life up because it ain’t cute is kinda nuts to expect these days.

I’m open about myself because I see it as an alignment of my values.

I don’t want a world where we feel too conditioned to be real, messy humans.

It is not about “impulse control” but more that I see it as a rebellious fight for what I believe people should be allowed to have without judgement.

Maybe I should just be playing video games during the first month, that weird purge that I usually do when I would be in the first month of unemployment like other times. But this time feels different. I chose to use this time, so I want to use it. But I’m also not resting.

I can’t really tell how easy or hard life is supposed to be. I guess I’m not supposed to think of it like that. But I do feel like I often get screwed over when I work hard on something. Maybe that is my mistake. I can’t tell.

Another night of bad sleep I guess. Maybe it is just caffeine use, but it’s not that I have trouble falling sleep, it’s more that I wake up hours too early. Like 10pm to 3am… i don’t know

My healthcare will be gone soon, so I will have to find ways to understand it and learn what heals it with what is available to me. I already see some things I already do to help get through the day, so maybe it is just about really prioritizing it or something. I guess I’ll find out more as I go.

The conversation of PTSD and CPTSD has only come up a few times in therapy but what came up a lot this past year was somatic therapy, which led me to be recommended The Body Keeps The Score. In combination with learning about Trauma and my ACE score… I don’t know. Maybe something is in there.

I guess what I mean is that if I heard someone say “things used to be simpler” I wouldn’t assume they’re conservative just by that. Honestly, I kind of understand how the world feels uniquely overwhelming right now. We are all just peons swirled around in this billionaire nightmare.

The expression alone has a lot different angles, a lot of “if I trust the system and go to school, it will work out”. That used to really work.

For many people across generations, the trust and playbook to surviving capitalism has been shattered and broken. It’s harder. This is how I interpret it.

I don’t think things used to be simpler, but there is enough evidence to know that things are harder now. Jobs don’t pay as much as they used to, no loyalty, money is more scarce, getting a degree means less than ever before. Housing. Things are objectively more difficult in essential areas.
