The only argument I would've liked
to see assessed that wasn't included
was probably the housing crisis,
as a uniquely American phenomenon,
i e combined with extreme car-dependency
(...I guess you may have more alternative MoT's
as a homeless in Nyc than in e g Phoenix, in short)

On Sunday, #Zürich residents voted 52.8% in favor of increasing parking fees for cars according to weight.

The owner of a BMW X2 (Diesel), which weighs 1,675 kilograms, will now pay equivalent of €717 Euros per year to park on a public street. (Before, about €321.)

When the supply of available homes goes down relative to demand, prices increase. This is one of the best established findings in housing policy, and policymakers who don't center this aren't going to fix the housing crisis.
