The sodium burden in ICU patients is off the charts! In an effort to bring about change, we’ve designed the Sweet-Water Trial — so excited that it’s up and running! #Nephrology #IntensiveCare #MedSky

Could we have more #ccr25 content on Bluesky please?

While I still have access to the other place, it’s not much fun seeing random X crap in between thoughtful takes about the utility of NFL

Europe - still my favorite place on Earth:)

„Survival in the wealthiest U.S. quartile appeared to be similar to that in the poorest quartile in northern and western Europe.”

I am sure the NIH is/was the most important funder worldwide; nevertheless, these numbers seem odd - the European Union spent more than 388 million in 2022 on biomedical research!

In addition to reporting a biomarker, our protocol provides a foundation for deeper analysis of urinary TECs. Together with Leonie Wagner, @ninagoerlich.bsky.social, @janklocke.bsky.social, and many others!

Same thoughts here, but I am torn. I assume (hope) that most nephrology colleagues are not fans of the current U.S. administration. However, by boycotting KW, would we be weakening those whom we ought to support? And which congresses could we attend instead? Certainly not ERA-EDTA in Austria...

OMG! Any details from the collegues in the US? Fingers crossed that the NIH funding will be continued very soon! NIH has made a huge difference for nephrology and medicine and is so important for our field! #NephSky

I increasingly doubt the whole concept of acute tubular necrosis, I am not sure cell death is the main pathomechanism in AKI and I am not aware of a gold standard for ATN. That said, given the tools we have, I agree to your answer
