I'm trying to understand how this is a Dem problem and not a media and voter problem. People are clearly believing objectively false information. Not sure how a political party is supposed to combat willful ignorance and opportunistic propagandists.

Democratic Governors are elected Dems. Democratic Reps are elected Dems. Democratic Mayors are elected Dems. We have direct examples of Dems in those positions openly speaking out against this regime. So, again, what you and Roxanne are saying bears little resemblance to reality.

I am processing her words. The implication is that no Dems are doing that. That is factually incorrect. You could clarify that certain, high-ranking Dems don't appear to be pulling their weight, and I would fully agree. But that is not the sentiment.

This is historic revisionism. McConnell had to wait until AFTER the 2010 midterms to utilize any levers of power - which is the literal position Dems are in now. The comparison of 2009 to now needs to keep that in mind.

Who? Who is silent? You can't keep saying "they" and assuming that everyone else is just going to agree with you. Yes, there are silent people, and people with weak responses. And then there are also people in high positions (like Pritzker) who are rising to the moment. So who do you mean?

The GOP operates as a single political organism with very little difference between officials at any level of government. This is simply untrue of Democrats across the board. Quite a few Democrats are staunchly and vocally oppositional and the ones that aren't are in key positions of power. 1/2

You're an incredibly smart person to be peddling an incredibly absent minded argument. Even if every Democratic official held a Pritzker-like conference every minute of every day, it still wouldn't give them the Constitutional power to do anything about it. This is a GOP problem.
