A new report on the on the socio-economic impact of the Great #Lighthouses of #Ireland (GLI) initiative, launched in 2015, has found that visits to Irish lighthouses "have more than doubled since 2018," and that "lighthouse tourism is generating more than €33 million [US$38m] per year."

The reconstruction of the #Bremerhaven, #Germany, pier and #lighthouse is to begin next week. The lighthouse partially collapsed in 2022, and was later demolished. Work is expected to be completed in late 2027.
