As part of their celebration, they donated $17,500 to the American Cancer Society HopeClub to support individuals and families affected by cancer.

Thank you to The Murray Group for your generosity and for all you do to strengthen our community through both your work and your compassion.

My Chief of Staff, Thad Rutherford, joined The Murray Group Insurance Services, Inc. to celebrate the grand opening of their new office at 43 British American Blvd.

Investing in our local schools ensures our students, families, and educators have the resources they need to thrive. It’s always great to see the impact these grants make right here in our community!

’m proud to have a long history of supporting Menands School. In 2023, I provided $250,000 in funding for paving improvements, and in 2024, two additional grants of $15,000 and $50,000 to expand family support and educational programs.

Through this funding, the district will continue its Parent Liaison program, host family engagement events like Literacy and STEM Nights, and celebrate the rich diversity of its community with cultural and heritage events.

Born and raised in NY, Arthur graduated from Union College and went on to serve as Quartermaster General of NY during the Civil War before becoming President in 1881. His leadership championed civil service reform, earning him a place among the most respected public servants of his era.

Each year, a wreath is placed at President Arthur’s gravesite on behalf of the President of the United States, a national tradition that celebrates the legacy of every former president.

This morning, I joined community members, historians, and the New York National Guard at Albany Rural Cemetery to honor Chester A. Arthur, the 21st President of the United States, on his birthday.

The Capital Region is stronger because of organizations like ANCD that bring people together to share culture, history, and friendship. Congratulations to ANCD on another successful celebration, and thank you for inviting me to be part of it!

As I said in my remarks, the Democratic Party must always stand with working people. If we don’t, there will be no one left in politics who will. That is why I will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with our nurses and all workers who power our communities.

As the sponsor of legislation to eliminate the subminimum wage for people with disabilities, I am especially proud to have eBizDocs here in the 110th Assembly District.
philsteckny.bsky.social
eBizDocs ensures people with disabilities have equal opportunity and fair, competitive pay. With 60% of their workforce made up of individuals with disabilities, they demonstrate the value of creating a workplace where everyone’s contributions are respected.

Today, I was proud to present eBizDocs with a citation in recognition of their 25th anniversary as a small business in Menands and to mark the start of Disability Awareness Month.
