Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins ... But you may call me Flins.
// tbh i have to wonder if there are any long lasting effects of storing fragments of a sinner's heart in your lantern. flins obviously knew he was safeguarding these abyssal stones from getting into the wrong hands, so i doubt he absorbed them. BUT did the traveler heal him completely?
With patience and focus, they could be dispelled. But to build up either... he needed to replenish the energy he lost.

It wasn't like him to rely on others at all, and yet Flins couldn't help but wish a flash of gold would appear on the horizon.
But on days like today, when he exhausted perhaps a bit too much of his flame against the Wild Hunt, Fae curses raced through his mind just as they did when fighting Rerir.

[May you go to the crows.]

"Cease..." Flins palmed his face, eyes shut in distress.

At times, Flins still experienced the side effects from having a sinner's heart stored within his lantern.

Although he hadn't fully absorbed the abyssal energy from within, trace amounts had contaminated his flame through proximity.

The Traveler's purification abilities were a blissful release.

+
Gloved hands smooth over the jagged edges of a bone, eyes tracing the movement as if they could extract the memories from its wear and tear in doing so. Well, to some extent, he *can*... but it isn't a very refined process.

Hm. This elemental energy... did this once belong to a vishap?
Flins is finding that he must store up on a surplus of jerky to reward him with. Good deeds are transactional, and the fae does not long to be in debt—and particularly not with a creature he cannot properly communicate with.

...

That being said, these specimens are rather exquisite.

+
More bones...

Flins doesn't have a name for this dog yet, but he's proving to be an excellent assistant. It's almost enough to make up for the horrible deed of ruining his jigsaw the other day.

Alas, as this rather fluffy assistant carries out more tasks for him,

// my flins muse is so high lately - hope people are enjoying my portrayal! i'm v excited to write with everyone, so pls don't be shy!
This is the moment one may realize they have seconds to live. This ghostly apparition before them shows no indication of mercy—only a cold intent to kill.
"Fear not the dead, for you soon shall join them."

Azure flames lick the inside of his lantern feverishly, threatening to spill out. As they reach his eyes, the Lightkeeper's form seems to bend and twist and distort in and out of reality—mirroring heatwaves in a desert.

// just like a fae to play tricks...
// i pulled c1 and r1 and both hated me very much

The sun rises, and Flins returns to his study. He doesn't plan on sleeping, but the underground library emulates the night without any lit flame, and it's a kind of solace for him when he's not ready for daylight.

However, later, he'll coordinate an attack on the Wild Hunt while it's still bright.

// i think from a reader/player's perspective, him being enigmatic is a lot of the fun. so i want to work that into my portrayal. but the night is still young and i have much to learn
// for now i'm figuring out his inner workings so i'll be pretty up front with what he thinks and decides in internal dialogue.

this fae is too smooth of a talker with hidden motives. i need to understand him thoroughly before filtering that part out
// depending on the type of thread i'm writing, i may switch my normally-introspective style to something more narratively descriptive to keep flins' intentions secret... could be fun...
// i'm very excited to see how you'll portray him
Fish for dinner.

Kyryll the Azure Flame need not eat, but Flins the Ratnik must.
"This is my first time visiting Mondstadt." The first time 'Flins' had visited Mondstadt, yes. It wasn't a lie. "As I am but a humble outlander—do you have any recommendations?"

Why was the young master serving at the bar? Was he not busy as an entrepreneur? Flins' curiosity only grew.
Although he wished to linger and chat, Flins couldn't help but take the barstool furthest tucked into the right-hand corner, as far away from the ruckus as possible. He practically sank into his heavy winter coat as if it were a shield, his face only visible from the bridge of his nose and up.

Their lineage was recorded in great detail within the legends of Mondstadt... but, admittedly, Flins was only able to identify him based on the Traveler's description.

Yes, here, at the bar, was a good place to sit.

Centuries spent in solitude deemed that his noise tolerance threshold was low.
