I ask so many big questions formulated from even bigger aspirations, and I sometimes wonder if I can ever even pull this off properly.

I think there are two types of death.

One death, where you truly, very much stop "living" in a literal sense

And the other death. Where you just give up on hope completely. An internal death, so to say. You are alive, but not living.

I suppose what I am trying to do here is to communicate that the consequences outweigh the benefits of the act itself.

Despair is cyclical in nature. Addressing the root cause of despair is more important than seeking a final end. It's ultimately futile, and the true solution always lies elsewhere

Even I find it a bit ironic that though I claim BLACK OUT is supposed to be an allegory about how s*icide isn't the answer, the MC still takes it upon himself to end his own life more often than necessary.

I might have written myself into a corner on that one.
