Happy 50th birthday to the Heritage Seed Library looked after by our friends at Garden Organic. This National Collection of heritage vegetables now has more than 800 varieties.

What an amazing day we had at RHS Hyde Hall for our herbarium workshop. Thanks to everyone who came & to Toni Martin and Debbie for teaching us. Colour matching is surprisingly hard, but a physical record and detailed notes of plants in #NationalCollections stored for the future is invaluable.
It's apple season & we've got 20 National Collections across the UK!

Head to Sparsholt College this Weds 10-12 to view their Malus domestica cultivars bred & grown in Hampshire & Isle of Wight pre 1960. Bring 3 fruit & images of your trees to get advice on cultivars and care.
