There seems to be an uptick in explosions and fires at chemical plants across the US in the past 6 months or so. I'm sure that there is no correlation with cuts to EPA and OSHA enforcement

Biodegradable labeling is going to destroy public trust in sustainability... PLA is industrially compostable and when that is not clear, people try to use their home composting with poor results.

I put PLA 3D Prints in my Compost and this happened

Filter makes sense to remain - cellulose acetate is biobased but not biodegradable. It is a good thing if you have old photographs as the base is also cellulose acetate, not so good for littering
