Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016) on Tubi. Awful title but pretty good zombie horror comedy about snowboarders doing sick flips and cutting off heads. In English thankfully, not good so much as something you put on the background and go, “All right!”

Rewatching Blood Glacier on Tubi. Flawed monster movie has a cool setting and exceptional creature design but a wonky dub and dumb characters. If you’re desperate for a The Thing wannabe, you could do worse!

Ha, I’ve seen this. Very PS2 coded.

I thought it was going to be a lot easier to be succinct

I just kept thinking about how Satoshi Kon identified the ideas and improved on them across the board, making a masterwork from a simplistic source.

The book ends when (spoiler) Mima is grabbed by the stalker guy, who takes her to a warehouse. He starts cutting off his own skin and saying he's going to skin her and wear hers. Her manager saves her, I think. The movie adds all the dream/insanity/mirror self stuff, and the entire 3rd act.

If anyone is curious about the differences between the book Perfect Blue and the movie, the book was a light novel, which was pretty grounded and mostly about the pop idol industry. It's basically a very mild slasher with some sexual elements. The first half of the movie is fairly faithful...

It’s definitely more horror but a great movie, very dark and psychological.

Worried that sorry was going to be darker ha. It was amazing. I’m blown away. I feel like you’d be able to follow it ok in another language because it’s so visual. Cool figure!

Seeing Perfect Blue in the theater, because it’s wild that’s it’s playing two minutes from my house - I’ve never seen it - and I’ve read the book! The book is kind of mid but has an insane ending, this will be 100x better. Also, Paprika is one of my favorites!

Nobel Prize to be announced today. No one will ever top Doris Lessing's response back in 2007.

Reporter: "Did you hear the news?"

Doris: " No."

Reporter: "You've won the Nobel Prize for literature."

Doris: (Eyeroll) "Ohhhh, crap."
