Big media companies must be broken the fuck up. Into $1000 chunks. And sold to individual Americans, and constitutional amendments made so the billionaire oligarchs can't buy them up again. Nobody's saying they can't say what they want. I'm just saying they can't drown the rest of us out.

(don't get me wrong: I am VERY optimistic about the growth of renewables. I just don't think that's enough with ice caps and glaciers melting, and permafrost releasing methane; and possibly the loss of oceanic carbon sinks.)

it won't stop even if we do cut carbon emissions. Best we can do now is MAYBE slow the rate of increase. (IF we aren't already locked-in to one or more tipping-points).

Our only bet now is massive atmospheric capture and geologic sequestration.

rooftop solar == free electricity. (yes, you have to front the cost for the infrastructure, and you can go ahead and amortize that cost into the electricity produced; but what time-period would you choose? The life of the loan? 20yrs? 30yrs? 100yrs? Panels last a long time).
