It's games that want you to play them forever. I was one and done with most run-based games after my time with Binding of Isaac. Those games just want way more of my time than I find I want to play them.

I'd say it's kind of a combination of Mega Man Zero with Sonic level design philosophy and Treasure enemy/boss design. It's not a balls hard action game or anything that'll test your skills much, it's kinda just a fun little romp. It's pleasant and breezy.

lol Chrono Gear is so full of wild effort put into little one off bits and gimmicks, I really can't help be impressed with how much love they poured into this game despite not being the most plugged in to the HoloLive stuff. It's just a really charming little game.

The poor girl was already working overtime because someone called off 15 minutes before the end of her shift and she was waiting for someone else to get there and when I heard him start I lost it despite having already checked out and being on my way out.

I don't feel the slightest twinge of guilt shouting down a miserable old fuck yelling at the lone cashier at the store who was being a dick because she was overwhelmed already and not moving the line fast enough for him.

That was my feelings on the second playthrough. It really does feel even better when you're in full control of Hornet's skillset. When you're able to just roll through areas in ways you didn't the first time it's a really fun feeling like you got it dialed in.

Ahhh gotcha. Admittedly I don't keep up as much with rosters and individual players as much as I did in the mid-late 90s/early 2000s, but I still love catching a game on and seeing folks talk about what's going on.
