I have no respect for Murkowski. No surprise that she has a connection to Maxwell & Epstein. No surprise at all. She is all about money & influence. She revealed her morals in her vote for BBB, & her complete contempt for her constituents. She thought she could play both sides. Despicable!

My dad's childhood very poor (rural south, 1930s). He + brother shared 1 pair of shoes, alternating days in school. Hardly any food. Enlisted in USArmy Air core 1941, navigator in 8th AF England; got the GI bill, went to medical school + lived to see his kids educated. That's what opportunity does!
I recall my dad's story of his childhood in impoverished rural Louisiana (1931). There was no food! One day, his mom received a letter from a friend with a dime, repaying an old loan. So much joy in the house, because they could buy bread that week! He remembered buying the loaf with his mom.

I think that exposure to hazardous materials will be extensive. The demo firm is not known for its asbestos abatement, or lead paint remediation. That they leveled the structure in 2 days is proof enough that nothing was done to protect the occupants, staffers or construction workers.

Hi Dr EW, I dug around today, talked to a bunch of people. Mostly, comments were on the firm's work quality: pretty much what you see of the East Wing. Heavy wreckage, clearing the site quickly (the east wing was 2 days!!). No regard for preserving historical details, building parts, casement.
