Many of the ideas emphasised in this paper are influenced by Burawoy’s ‘making out on the shop floor’, and this a tribute to his scholarship and influence on researchers like me who are not trained sociologist, in light of his untimely passing.

In this paper we critically discuss the broad spectrum of resistance approaches employed by platform workers, bringing attention to how the heterogeneity and novelty of some practices stem from the dynamic and complex #socialrelations of #platformwork, and conclude with a future agenda 💡
