Oh I was not expecting a new season. I hope it returns to the complex themes of the first season. It was still fun afterwords but season 1 felt important and meaningful.
Yeah that sounds very interesting.
Not deterred at all by this information. I guess I will watch both versions of the pilot cause I'm always interested in revisions like that.
The first step in seekiing forgiveness is to admit you were wrong, and she can't even handle that much.

I believe people can change, just they often don't. I'm not gonna hold out hope for her.
@shanareviews.bsky.social didn't realize there were only 10 episodes so far... so I binged it. You were right, that was funny.

And yeah, I'm fully invested in everyone's arcs. Probably check out the spin-off soon-ish too.
in Japan they don't always do extra innnings I am told.
oh I might have slightly misunderstood what I've seen from season 2 looking at the Speaker clips. I guess Sir Pentious only tried to kill him.
is that contrary to my stated belief earlier today of what Justice should be? Yes... but also he's a cartoon character.
I already enjoy the fact that the act of it is the cause of the first soul ever to be redeemed from damnation. Yes, it's because he found his strength and overcame his original sin... but really, killing Adam deserves a reward all by itself.
Oh I was not expecting the religious elements to be 1:1 by any means. I just wasn't expecting Adam to be that bad. Somehow he's worse than Adam Kadamon from Symphogear.

I don't react this strongly to villains usually. But I'm loving the show.
Watched the first episode @shanareviews.bsky.social and wow I'd heard a lot about Adam, but he was so much worse than whatever I imagined... he's grating on me in a way few villains manage. One episode in.
Oh... well I'm talking about season 2 now aren't I? Is that spoilng you? whoops (but I'd like to be part of the current conversation when I catch up that's the fun of watching something as it comes out).
Gehenna is a spiritual washing machine, temporary. And I firmly believe that justice should be restorative and the purpose of punishment should only be to facilitate change and learning in the transgressor, unless the safety of others demands more.

♫Every transgression must serve as a lesson♫
Honestly, Sera's Confession song has convinced me I need to watch the show. It made me cry without seeing her mess up. And honestly though super-Christian the episode there does remind me what I like about the Jewish Gehenna as opposed to the typical Evangelical hell.
Honestly still haven't watched Hazbin but looked up the scenes with Speaker of God and I think that's a fair representation of the big G. This seems like the kind of work where seeing God directly might not work. I think Speaker does a good job of doing the necessary bits.
Challenge: avoid Mariah Carey's Christmas song for as long as possible

Status: Failure 11 hours into Nov 1

(I actually like the song, but it sure is everywhere.)
see the subsection of WH40K and Starship Troopers fans who don't see the satire and just love the Imperium and federation. Or that guy who used to be on Smosh games who was a little too into playing Secret Hitler.
I think that's part of the reason why nazi inspired villains in scifi and stuff usually don't have arm bands. You can get the point across without using hate symbols.

And the worst people often still like Nazi villains cause it makes them feel powerful, they just cheer for the bad guys.
Much later, but I really love the early Spider-woman run when it was all horror themed. Wolfman said it was because he didn't know what to do with the character, but it's still a favourite run of comics to me. Just chained to a guy who wants to die but needs someone to die with him for it to stick.
To be fair, we did hear of Worf's brother Nikolai in season 1.
ack forgot alt text, image description matches what I said in the post.
"These are the tales of the Skeleton Warriors."

A golden space viking helmet skull voiced by Tony Jay. Might explain the themes of a 90s action cartoon in an ambiguous manner, but prolly not stir up hatered.
