Free, fair, and transparent elections depend on equal access for all media to observe and report on the process. Restricting accreditation based on language or affiliation risks undermining public confidence in democratic institutions and the inclusiveness of Kosovo’s electoral framework. (3/4)

We fully support the statement issued by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo regarding the recent decision by some members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to abstain or vote against accreditation requests from Serbian-language and other media outlets for coverage of the upcoming local elections(1/4)

All political actors must implement the Court's decisions—this is a constitutional duty for MPs. Failure to act not only prolongs but deepens the political crisis, harming the country. As stated before: It’s high time to put the country first, not party politics. (2/2)

Flags are at half-mast today at our Embassy in remembrance of the innocent victims of the inhumane Hamas terror attack on 7 October 2023.

We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel - especially those mourning loved ones or awaiting their return - and with the innocent civilians in Gaza.

Germany was once divided, but today we celebrate Germany's reunification.
In 1989, peaceful protests in the GDR sparked off a revolution – without violence. One year later, in 1990: reunification. A turning point for Europe, made possible through courage and diplomacy.

This obvious impunity is unacceptable.
It's imperative that accountability and justice get implemented without any further delay.

Two years since the terrible Banjska attack and yet, the self-confessed leader of the attack, Radoičić, continues to live freely in Serbia.
Despite various assurances that the perpetrators will be held accountable, still no justice has been served.

Life is like a train ride
My Deputy Christian Böttcher visited Trainkos, discussed future plans with CEO Statovci, and rode in the driver's cabin between Fushe Kosove & Pristina. Upgrading Kosovo’s railways could boost green transport & regional links.
