I balled up one of the hanks so I could do some swatching and I just can't stop patting it, haha
My goal is to be spinning regularly between fingering and DK weight as those are the weights I use the most and I'm pretty pleased that most of this spin is comfortably in that range, although I'd like to be able to get a DK-weight 3-ply.
this is about 700g of combed corriedale spun short backward draft into about, um, 525 metres of ~11wpi two-ply. You can see from the picture of my first hank and my last hank that my grist changed A LOT as my drafting improved over the course of the spin.

Well, did you play it?
I really enjoy all her work but the recent two romance-inflected ones are great. I also just binge re-read Laurie Marks' Elemental Logic books and now I'm reading Juliet McKenna's The Green Man's Heir which is pretty good
Hate this feeling! Was gonna rec the new KJ Charles but I see there's no need. New Martha Wells? New Zen Cho?
My working theory is that a series binge gives you the perfect balance of the comfort of a re-read and the interest of something new.
that sounds extremely nice tbh
Holy shit thanks its been sitting in my bag all week
They are so silly and it's so good
I am forcing myself to read Queen Demon really slowly and I'm doing it by alternating reading a couple of chapters with spinning up some fluff and it's the perfect way to spend a windy wet day UNLIKE working
When you're done with the work week but inexplicably teh work week is not done with you
Year of the Griffin mentioned!

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
Your walk to work is enviable
On the other hand I do think this would be very interesting for local body!
Additionally if our lot don't show up, either to a select committee or to the House, on each day the House is sitting, they don't get paid. (Unless they have the permission of their party's leader.) I believe unpermitted absences are recorded in the weekly journals and they are very uncommon.
It's pointless in an NZ parliamentary context because the vast majority of our votes are whipped party votes so you don't get any information out of a list of someone's votes except for the three to five conscience votes per Parliament.

On my recent visit to #TiritiriMatangi island I took this video in the forest. The birdsong here is extraordinary. I’ve never heard anything like it.
