To whom it may concern:

I am deeply troubled by Visa's recent decision to enforce the removal or censorship of adult content on certain websites, particularly but certainly not limited to Steam and https://itch.io. These decisions:

- Block otherwise completely legal transactions, pushing small artists out of business

- Choke freedom of expression of sexuality, a routine and ordinary part of the human condition

- Have a disproportionate impact on minority groups, especially LGBTQ+ creators and consumers

To be honest, I've thought very little about payment processors before. But these policy changes have me wondering what my options outside of Visa are, and what we as a culture can do to unseat Visa as an arbiter of commerce.

Please consider rolling back these restrictions on adult content and changing policy to prevent such unjust restrictions going forward.
