I've been on a bit of a Hazbin/Helluva hyperfixation spree and after rewatching the Hazbin OG pilot I will say one very good change was shifting 'redemption' from 'Angel isn't allowed to do yucky drugs or sex stuff' to actual personal growth. That was a bad baseline to start with!
