Oh, here's me with the painting. Good luck, little pal, hope you get through!
A smiling middle-aged woman with long hair holding a dark painting showing a view at dusk with pink hollyhocks in the foreground and a church tower and spire in the distance.

Misty this morning. Yesterday I took a painting to the Victoria Art Gallery. It's in the 2nd round of selection for the Bath Society of Artists Open Exhibition. I'm chuffed that it's made it this far. Town was way too busy for me so I bought a couple of pies and scuttled home. Have a good day! xx
A covered three-arched bridge with a church spire behind and a tour boat in front, the image framed by autumnal tree branches arching overhead.

Chilly this morning with a glimpse of a fox as it melted into the hedge. As I've been immersed in the colours of autumn this week, this pic from yesterday seems appropriate, taken on a lovely walk from Freshford to Iford. Have a good day! xx
Very bright hawthorn berries and red leaves in a hedgerow.

I've been working on this autumnal still life in pastel this week, as I try to avoid watching a pot which is refusing to come to the boil. I'm calling it 'Harvest Festival' as it reminds me of the table of assorted things we used to assemble at primary school this term, all those years ago.
A colourful still life drawing packed with apples, onions, flowers, a squash and autumn leaves.

Another jaunt to Bristol yesterday. Temple Meads station is a splendid building and it looks like cycling is popular these days! Have a good day today. xx
Part of the forecourt of a grand station full of bikes. The station building itself looks almost like a church with a tower and turrets.

An acceptable use of an early Christmas tree at Waterstones, Bath yesterday for the launch of Murder at Christmas by Fleur Hitchcock & Ice Dancer by Alex Cotter. It's 10+ years since I wrote a book for younger readers, but children's book people are some of the finest. Lovely evening, fab books.
Two books at the base of a Christmas tree with a teddy bear and some gingerbread men on a table.

A cold, clear morning with a bright moon. I had a walk along the canal to the Holburne yesterday in mild air and sunshine, and then went to a book launch in the evening. Have a good day! xx
Sunshine filters through the leaves of a grand tree in a formal garden with Georgian buildings beyond.

Overcast for most of yesterday, but Bella brings the sunshine with her and we focused on looking for colour in the trees and hedges on our big walk. Plenty of leaves starting to turn and berries, and then the bonus of a kingfisher buzzing around at Prior Park (not pictured, alas). Have a good day! x
A close up of bright red hawthorn berries and leaves. Cluster of bright red berries and red leaves. A cheerful white dog standing on a fallen tree next to a path.

A bright and bonny day yesterday, and my eyes were caught by pink and red narrow boats on the canal. Lovely! Have a good day! xx
A stretch of canal in bright sunshine, with boats moored all along one bank, next to the towpath.

The weather's calming down now. In yesterday's pre-dinner walk, the fields were teeming with people - new students, I guess, enjoying the view. Bella zoomed about, entertaining them, and then I gathered some fallen leaves. Have a good day! xx
A bunch of brightly coloured leaves held in a hand, like a small bouquet, with a large tree trunk and sloping field in the background.

Still a little windy outside, but clear and starry too. I had Quite the Day yesterday. A flu jab to start, a very blustery walk and then out to see Priscilla Presley at the Bristol Hippodrome. Phew! Have a good day. xx
Bright sunshine catches the leaves on a large tree which are turning red, with the skyline of Bath city centre beyond.

Hope you stay safe. Glad you mentioned that book. I'd heard about it, but had forgotten. Will add to my list.

A blustery night as a storm passed over the UK. Hope friends further north/west are okay. No new pics so here's one from the other day on my walk to the train station. 'You shall not pass!' (I did, it was fine.) Have a good day! xx
A swan standing in the middle of a canal towpath stretching its wings wide.

It's about clinging on for dear life at this stage, but, yes, I can see that.

Yesterday, oblivious of all the bad news, I went to a climbing centre on my own. Being afraid of heights and extremely risk averse, this sort of mild physical challenge is genuinely thrilling. Will go again. The photo is from our pre-dinner walk when the weather was on the turn. Have a good day. xx
A large weak sun shines through grey cloud above a section of canal.

How wonderful. That must have been a terrific view and lovely sunsets!

Been working away at this. Quite a challenge. These steps down from Bathwick Fields towards the little alley to the canal will be familiar to many university folk, and I caught it at the start of term, when students were streaming down on a warm, sunny day. 'The Walk Into Town' - acrylic on paper.
A colourful painting of people walking down steps towards bright sunshine and under a canopy of foliage.

Another jaunt into town yesterday, but my photos weren't up to much, so here's yesterday's sunset instead. Have a good day! Xx
A fiery sunset over the city of Bath, seen from a hillside, with two people sitting side by side admiring the view.
