Unfortunately unpacking means we have to understand they may have started with the best of intentions locking kids in cages and all those drone strikes is still unforgivable. it’s okay to be critical. We are supposed to be. Being critical keeps them in check.

Also placing blame on a solitary person is nonproductive. fascism is truly a teams sport. It’s not just one person. It’s the people that person surrounds themselves with, how they message, and how does the other side reacts.

And when I find a media outlet I like I see who they follow and what news outlets they follow, and I follow them.
But I need my news to make me uncomfortable and constantly challenge my world views or it’s just not good enough for me.

Social media when used correctly can be a very useful tool for staying up to date with current events
I recommend really branching out and following @aljazeera.com they’re really good, and far more credible

It’s kind of a rant of mine. My mom gets mad when I tell her stuff I found out on social media “that’s not credible” but as time passes it turns out I was correct. And it always comes back to “how did you know that was happening” or something like that.
