If it had been me you met that day, I do wonder—what might have become of us by now, hm?

「あの日出会ったのが私だったら、今ごろ私とお前はどうなっていただろうな?」
I def recommend visiting!! I got to go this year for the first time and it was amazing!!

haters wanna say " #radioapple doesn't make sense, romance between them doesn't make sense."

After what we just saw in S2E4, what on earth makes you think that romance is Alastor's top priority in ANY relationship? 🧵

He was doing WHAT???😆😆😆
Ending with an obvious one but yeah this is a bayou in the outskirts of New Orleans. They are all over the place. You got your cattails, your Spanish moss, and your murder cabins

End of thread, hope you enjoyed and learned something new!
This kind of mixed race audience at a club would've been extremely uncommon at the time due to Jim Crow laws. More commonly, all-white clubs would hire Black musicians. New Orleans was the birthplace of Plessy v Ferguson's "separate but equal" ruling
When Rosie says he "overcame so much" she definitely means racial segregation. Alastor would've had to be passé blanc (white passing) to be on air--the airwaves wouldn't be desegregated in New Orleans until approx 1950, by Vernon Winslow
This radio station setup is fancier than the type that was used at the time--the first radio station in New Orleans was WWL, which started at Loyola University, in a physics-laboratory-turned-broadcast-room. Early radio stations were often run out of converted hotel rooms (hah)
You can see lots of staples of French Quarter architecture here. These buildings are called Creole townhouses. Usually the downstairs is a storefront, and the upstairs is an apartment. Cast iron balconies are also very common
The location in this shot is unmistakably the French Quarter, with the iconic St Louis Cathedral--widely recognized as the oldest cathedral in continuous use in the United States. IRL this would put him in Jackson Square Park, overlooking the Mississippi River!
This particular car (961) is definitely based off the 900 Series, built in 1923–1924. This car would've been part of the St. Charles Avenue line, and like many of those cars, it is maintained and still in service to this day!
Let's start with the streetcar!! New Orleans is famous for its green streetcars, especially for the St. Charles Avenue line, which is the longest continuously operating streetcar line in the world (!!!), operating since 1835.
Thread about New Orleans as represented in Alastor's flashback!! #hazbinhotelseason2 #HazbinHotelAlastor
