this attitude where someone says anything outside “yeah, FUCK ai!!” and they get put on blocklists and blacklists and outed as some kind of crypto techbro is so fucking detrimental.

corpos are treating a tool as some kind of magic bullet that is “good enough” at everything, using it to replace human workers, artists, programmers…

between that, and the greed of the pursuit of creating the “ultimate” chat model, that is killing this technology.

people need to better equip themselves in the conversations and debates regarding AI, chatbots, and generative AI.

it’s hard to have any nuance about a topic that is gloom and doom, heralded openly as a replacement as our careers. but we need to be educated before we can educate.

Multiple friends told me to just keep reposting. Not to feel down as it would not hurt to keep asking and seeking. Hopefully this next week will bring a few answers, but today marks 1 week since I lost my dad. The memories still keep me awake at night.
