Art is a reflection of society. The role of the artist inherently comes with a responsibility to hold society accountable. When artists neglect that responsibility, we get what we have now.

“Economic boycotts have been the heart beat of change.”

STOP PUTTING TIME LIMITS ON YOUR ECONOMIC BOYCOTTS.
THAT IS INEFFECTIVE.
The message in this video needs to be our M.O.
NOT SOMETHING WE DO THEN STOP.
Stop giving your money to fascist nazis who want you enslaved or dead.

I never knew Stevie Wonder participated in Anti-apartheid protests in Washington DC in February 1985. He and others were arrested. His music was in banned in South Africa because he gave a shout-out to Nelson Mandela after winning a Grammy. They don't make artists like this anymore!

The goal post will always be moved.

When your parents used to say, "you gotta be twice as good to get half as much...." it never stopped being true.

I dont wanna hear about meritocracy or "DEI."

And even if they weren’t bout they were forced to be accountable. Ask what the Black Panthers did to Ike and Tina or why James Brown made Say It Loud. 😭

January 18th 1968. Eartha Kitt confronted President Lyndon B. Johnson and First Lady Bird Johnson about the Vietnam War at a White House luncheon. She went so hard about protecting the soldiers that First Lady ended up crying and they had the CIA start a file on her.

Aretha Franklin helped sponsor the civil rights movement and was investigated by the FBI for doing so. Remember when our Black celebrities and leaders gave af about their community. Instead of just brow beating us to support them while we get nothing in return.

If you run from accountability you gone take 10 years to fix something you could’ve handled in 30 minutes.
Their problem is that TS was using Babble not knowing KN was fluent in said language.
Thank you for saying this, cuz I’m trying to understand why the Black woman minding her business is supposed to turn the other cheek for a ww with a career built on diss tracks to her former friends and lovers. KN was just speaking TS’s language.

I’m not a “take to hell” person for the most part but I always find it funny that when somebody actually does decide to do so folks are all “why respond?!?”

😭😭
Idk who this is and it’s gladly gonna stay that way
Do not give any attention to that Podcaster doing blackface and addressing black women. She's desperate. Her numbers are dwindling and she needs views. Ignore her. This goes for all anti black people content creators. They need our shares and they need our anger to get them noticed.
If y’all ain’t already thrifting or estate sale shopping, you should. Your wallet will thank you.
