MAGA's fantasy that America can shrug off
Canadian imports is laughable. They think swagger can replace Canada's oil, potash, hydroelectricity, uranium, lumber, and auto parts, which fuel 20% of U.S. energy and countless jobs. Ditching your top trading partner? Good luck with skyrocketing prices and empty shelves! Their "America First" bravado ignores the economic glue binding you to Canada, proving their plan is all bluster, no brains.

MAGA fairy tale. His tariffs screwed consumers; his tax cuts helped the rich.
They think he's a tycoon, not a guy who bankrupted a casino. Economic illiteracy is their creed, and Trump's their conman king.
They'd trust him with their money - then cry when it's gone.

BRICS in response to his threats of tariffs. In reality, nobody has dropped out of BRICS,
and U.S. economic coercion has instead incentivized further decoupling and diversification away from the U.S.

MAGA followers flaunt their ignorance like a trophy, oblivious to the world outside their echo chambers. They mangle basic geography, think Africa's a country, and believe history started in
1776. Their understanding of their own nation's systems - government, economy, even the Constitution they claim to revere - is comically thin.
It's a cult of loud, proud stupidity, where facts are the enemy and "owning the libs" outweighs actual knowledge every time.

I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time - when the U.S. is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness.
