I graduated high school in 2010. This kind of toxic behaviour did exist but not nearly as bad as it seems now. I think a lot of it is social media driving extremism e.g. influencers like Andrew Tate etc. Parents also need to do better countering extremism and being better role models

True, very true. I agree that parents need to do better as well. I try to be a good role model for my child, as does my partner. Its when she leaves the house and goes out into the world I get nervous. I'm dreading the time she reaches high school.

Not just the parents, but wider society. The rot starts at the top, with sexist behaviour and ideas being emboldened by the likes of Trump. As a father to a young daughter this is very depressing 😞

I generally don't like indulging in conspiracism or rumours, but some claim Trump has been having trans ischemic attacks i.e. mini strokes. He went dark for a while with no media appearances and then came back, then this image circulated which seems to show a drooping face, which shows after a TIAs

One of the guys I voted for. Many good candidates locally in Dunedin. I don't know how far his particular vampire gimmick will carry him, but he is certainly both charismatic and has good policy goals

If there are really no good candidates in local elections where you live then you should run, or encourage someone else to run. My understanding if that it is generally easier to gain power locally than nationally, so you unironically have a good chance to get a seat on the council

As others have said you don't. Individuals are weak on thier own. In groups they can do anything. Push back against destructive policy, force snap elections, topple Govts. Trick is getting individuals together.
