One has been struggling with a spot of art block since the holidays, so the traditional new years doodle is a bit late.

What impressed most is it's actually genuinely scary in certain sections and it's the closest to the kind of fear I had playing the originals.

There is that yes.
At least karma ensured that the shows terminally abominable writing crescendoed so spectacularly in the final series that it all but deleted this cultural behemoth from public discourse.

I love how you can guess the date of a menu not merely by price, but by the level of Barker/Cronenberg body horror the tomato's have been subjected too.

It's so disheartening when that happens. 😭
I've managed to avoid any thus far so I'm powering through.
I do hate that we can't really take our time to enjoy these things without having to become complete offline hermits.

I've yet to be convinced to watch the Goonies. As for GoT, I enjoyed the books but the TV adaptation was like eating a whole multi pack of Walkers crisps, against all evidence and better judgement one expected there to be more contents and substance than was ever going to be.

It's strange seeing the fallout of this wash up on my own little shoreline, whole areas of my home city Liverpool are being cordoned off for major 'Hollywood' film productions with growing regularity. When I was born the city had been functionally abandoned by the state, now it's a 'destination'.
