The province had built over 30,000 bridges since the 1970s. Nice people, stunning landscapes, the freshest food, hydro power, and a decent climate. No wonder that Guiyang was chosen for a data center hub. Natural hydro cooling. Shameful if they screw up the natural beauty through development.

Guizhou has 5 record setting bridges. ~93% of the province is mountainous. I drove across the Beipanjiang Bridge, now the world's 2nd highest bridge, on a trip across China. A smooth ride. The people who do the construction are special.

There were always quiet Turkish people, usually service workers, and some Russian Mafia types but what you witnessed could be people from anywhere. Many Turkish people stayed near the Banhof but who knows?

The chain of command has to be solid with overwhelming buy-in to achieve the objective. Control & adherence in the military as well as cleaning up the domestic police structure is paramount. I've been through this as an American in a foreign land. It doesn't help that America is so large.

Exactly right. I once dragged two Nigerians and two South Africans down the road until they fell off. They were attempting a carjacking. As soon as they grabbed the door handles, I reflexively hit the gas. This happened in South Africa.
