In the late game, never discard a dragon unless others have already discarded. In the early game, discard only if you don’t need it.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

She is definitely dreaming about dismembering me.

The most 🙄 game of riichi mahjong I’ve played this month…

The player opposite had two dragon triplets. No one should ever discard the remaining white dragon in this situation but somehow, the player to my right did exactly that… and lost.

Such an order, if made, would be unlawful.

My new uniform has arrived 🥰

Join the Green Party and #ElectTheDolls
A person wearing a black t-shirt with the all cap text "hashtag #ELECTTHEDOLLS" printed on it. The words "THE" and "DOLLS" are colored in light blue and pink, matching the transgender pride flag. They are holding a large, blue and white plush shark, IKEA’s BLAHAJ.

She could say her sexual orientation is “SC homosexual” and the guy told her this and that… but failed to disclose that he is a “SC heterosexual”. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

Somehow the example code they provided doesn’t run once. It just keeps checking and mutating the skybox’s asset. 🧐

Mine runs once because of the Without query of the Skybox component.

I can still code 👩🏻‍💻

And this is much more performant than then example code given in the library’s documentation.

5/ I once described the Supreme Court judgment in Scottish Ministers (and its fallout) as “borders on the illogical, pushes past irrationality”.

Expecting the courts to act rationally, then, may be asking too much.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
4/ They say “men” and “women” are just words with a “purpose”, they no longer refer to actual people. And it’s so fucked up, it borders on the illogical, pushes past irrationality, and makes you seriously question the education of the judges involved.

4/ Under English law, consent cannot be conditional. It can only be vitiated if doing so aligns with public policy, and such policy must be rational. I contend that the policy appears irrational and cannot be applied consistently. Consequently, consent cannot be vitiated in the case of Watkin.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
2/ ...that the rational basis is the “integrity” of sexual orientation (which is a dog whistle anyway).

What I’m saying is that sexual orientation cannot be used as a basis unless the rule in question applies equally to all orientations.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
1/🧵 Yes. English law does not recognise conditional consent. The concept of vitiation is treated as a matter of public policy, essentially a form of state interference, and therefore must be applied in a rational manner. What I have seen hate groups saying is that...

I’m not sure it was a jury trial, my impression is that it was before a single judge which is common for this kind of changes.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
3/ To extend the same legal reasoning, why couldn’t Ciara Watkin report the man for rape and have him imprisoned for pretending to be a “Supreme Court heterosexual”? She could, after all, give evidence to prove that he isn’t one.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
2/ If not, then why, given that trans people’s sex lives are now criminalised under the same rule, does this logic only work in one direction? Why isn’t there a general legal principle that applies to everyone?
reactiveashley.bsky.social
1/🧵 If sexual orientation can somehow vitiate consent, then consider this: if a woman consents to sex only with a man who is recognised as a “Supreme Court homosexual”, after sex he confessed he pretends to be one, could she send him to prison for rape?

The year on their plate does dictate how vigorous the challenge may be. From a hand gesture, to a knock on the window. But all of them should be harassed.

reactiveashley.bsky.social
According to the judge Mr Makepeace, if you’re a trans woman suffering from the stress of state violence in the form of malicious prosecution and lose your ability to “pass” that must mean you’re part of a conspiracy to undermine the court, you deserve a harsher sentence. He fucking spelled it out.
reactiveashley.bsky.social
The judge seems to believe that both he and the defendant are entitled to see a pretty Ciara, so that their male privilege is protected. He doesn’t care the real victim suffers from wrongful prosecution and might have no money to get for example a nice haircut. He thinks this is intentional.
